Telling Time on an Analog Clock | Hour Hand, Minute Hand & Minute Patterns In this Math Grizz lesson, we learn how to tell time on an analog clock! ⏰ I explain the difference between the hour hand and the minute hand, and how the numbers on the clock represent the hours of the day. We also look closely at the tick marks around the clock and learn how each small mark represents 1 minute. As we explore the clock, I ask students to look for patterns in the minutes to make telling time easier. Understanding these patterns helps us quickly figure out times like :05, :10, :15, :20, and more. Then we practice reading clocks together! We start with easier times like 4:15, 5:30, and 6:35, and then move on to trickier times like 3:48 and beyond to really test our clock skills. This video is perfect for students learning the basics of reading analog clocks and understanding how minutes and hours work together. ⏰ Great for practicing: Identifying the hour hand and minute hand Understanding minute tick marks Recognizing minute patterns on a clock Reading analog clock times #mathgrizz #tellingtime #analogclock #mathforkids #elementarymath #learningtime #readaclock #mathlesson #3rdgrademath #2ndgrademath
