2025 marks the South Downs light railway 25th year of operation. after opening back in the year 2000 the line has changed a lot with locos arriving and departing plus some new arrivals. In July 2004 the railway welcomed its flagship loco no319 pulbrough. built by the exmoor steam railway it was built especially for the South Downs light railway. pulbrough can been seen in use most weekends and during special events too. Since 2004 pulbrough has been to two other line The rudyard lake railway in September 2022 and in 2009 And the Eastleigh lakeside steam railway in October 2022 Happy birthday pulbrough! Still steaming on after 20 years! This was filmed on the 29th of September 2024 during the South Downs light railways last running day of the main season
