This is the third episode in a series of seven videos about lighting design for the theater. It is part of what will eventually be a larger playlist all about technical theater skills, designed for beginners who are just starting out on their tech theater journey. This episode is all about warm and cool lights, and how we can use color to maintain visibility without losing contour and depth in our scenes. The major discovery in this lesson is based on the McCandless Method, which was developed by Dr. Stanley McCandless, who is considered the father of modern lighting design. This lesson is a very simplified digest of the McCandless Method, intended for beginners.
