Traveling from Marrakech to Imlil Shortly after leaving the bustling city of Marrakech, we hit our first off-road section. The landscape quickly turned into a desert-like terrain, offering stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains. Our first stop was at the Lalla Takerkoust dam, where we grabbed a quick coffee and took in the surroundings. After that, we headed towards Tahanaout, a lush green area thanks to the abundance of water in the region. We stopped here for lunch and soaked up the peaceful atmosphere. After a hearty meal, we continued our journey towards Toubkal National Park. By late afternoon, we arrived in Imlil, our final destination for the day. This small village, sitting at nearly 1800 meters above sea level, is a popular starting point for trekkers heading up to Mount Toubkal, Morocco's highest peak at 4167 meters.
