Jiaganj Azimganj is a twin town located in the Indian state of West Bengal's Murshidabad district. Between them is the River Bhagirathi. On the western side of the Bhagirathi River is where Azimganj is situated. We will walk you through the main tourist attractions in Azimganj in this video, as well as the now-lost history of these temples. So, we ask that you view the entire movie and leave a comment if you have any questions about travelling. 3 kilometres north of Azimganj is the village of Badanagar. Char Bangla Temple is a popular tourist destination in this area. About 1755 AD, Rani Vabani erected this temple. This temple was built using "Char Bangla" Bengali architecture. Each temple heigh 5.5 mt. Each temple has three arched entrance and three ShivaLingam is set inside. Beautiful terracotta decorations on the wall will charm you. Various scenes from hindu mithology is depicted through terracotta. This temple is an unique piece in West Bengal. Rani Vabani was the “Jamindaar” of Natore. After the death of her husband Raja Ramkanta in 1745, Rani Vabani took the specter in her own hand. Her estate grows over Rajshahi, Pabna, Baguda, Kushtiya, Jassore, Rangpur in Bangladesh and Murshidabad, Birbhum, Maldah in West Bengal. As she ruled over such a vast area in Bengal, she is called “Ardha Bangeswari”. She established hundreds of temples, guest-houses, roads in Bengal. She dug so many ponds to mitigate water problem of her people. She built some temples in Kashi (Now Benaras) and constructed a road from Howrah to Kashi, which is now part of bombay road. To honour her for these work, people of her estate used to call her “MahaRani”. Natore pslace of Rani Vabani is a major tourist attraction of Bangladesh today. Rani Vabani's resting place was badanagar. So she built so many temples here. Another major temple built by Vabani is Gangseswar temple. Rani Vabani built this temple in around 1753. This temple is constructed in traditional Bengali “Jora Bangla” architecture. Three arched entrance and beautiful terracotta decorations on the wall is highly appreciated. Another great architecture of that time is Vabaniswar temple. Situated on an octagonal plinth, the architecture of this huge temple will amaze you. Each temple is 5.5 metres tall. Each temple has three arched entrances, and each one contains three ShivaLingams. You will be enchanted by the lovely terracotta wall decorations. Using terracotta, numerous scenarios from Hindu mythology are shown. The West Bengal region has nothing like this temple.. Natore's "Jamindaar" was Rani Vabani. Rani Vabani took the spectre in her own hands after Raja Ramkanta's death in 1745. Her estate spreads throughout West Bengal's Murshidabad, Bangladesh's Birbhum, and Bangladesh's Rajshahi, Pabna, Baguda, Kushtiya, Jasore, and Rangpur. She is known as "Ardha Bangeswari" because she oversaw such a huge territory in Bengal. In Bengal, she built countless temples, inns, and roadways. She created numerous ponds to help her people with their water need. She erected a road from Howrah to Kashi, which is now a part of the Bombay Road, as well as a few temples in Kashi (now Benaras). People on her estate used to refer to her as "MahaRani" in honour of her contributions. Badanagar was the resting place of Rani Vabani. So, she erected numerous temples here. Gangseswar Temple is another significant temple constructed by Vabani. About 1753, Rani Vabani erected this temple. This temple was built using "Jora Bangla," a traditional style of Bengali architecture. The three arched entrance and lovely terracotta wall decorations are well appreciated. Vabaniswar Temple is another example of outstanding construction from that era.
