Another Italian restaurant! I wanted to give this restaurant a try because they cook pasta in a cheese wheel, which is something I’ve never tried before. Tartufo Ristorante BGC G/F, One Maridien, 9th Avenue, corner of 27th Street, Taguig, 1634 Metro Manila If you are planning to have dinner at this restaurant, do make reservations. It was crowded on a Saturday evening, and we nearly didn’t get a table because they were full, and had reservations waiting. However we lucked out because one of their reservations was a no-show. They have indoor and outdoor seating so do ensure you let the restaurant know when making the reservation. They have seating for large groups, small groups and couples. The tables are seat quite close to one another so it might be hard to navigate around the place. They have the usual variety in terms of Italian food such as pizza and pasta. They gave a complimentary basket of bread sticks however it was disappointing as it was soft like it had been left out in the open for too long. Also, it did not taste the best. The pasta cooked in the cheese wheel is a pretty popular menu option as I saw that almost every table had one order of it. I was excited to watch them cook the pasta in the cheese wheel, and I’m glad it did not disappoint. The only gripe I have is that they have a station set up where they prepare the pasta thus if you wanna observe, you’ll have to stand there. If not, you would not be able to watch them as they prepare the pasta.
