Hey everyone. So here is another demonstration of the TSI Freedom Scientific VersaPoint Braille Printer/Embosser printing all six dots at a time. First in text mode, and then in the low resolution 17 dots per inch graphics mode (which the older Enabling Technologies Romeo and Juliet Embossers are also only capable of printing. All this is on the standard size braille paper of 11.5 inch by 11 inch paper. In text mode, this contains 40 braille characters per line by 25 lines per page. In 17 dots per inch graphics mode, this translates into 54 braille characters per line by 36 lines per page. (Which I thought originally it was 33 lines per page, but I was wrong.) Now if you have the letter size braille paper of 8.5 inch by 11 inch paper, then it can hold about 32 braille characters per line by 25 lines per page. I do not know what that translates into when using 17 dots per inch graphics. And I also realize that the View Plus, IriAT, and the Newer Human Ware Index line of Embossers can print up to 50 dots per inch graphics. And I believe there are a couple from APH that print at 100 dots per inch. So things will most definitely change when it comes to characters per line and lines per page with higher resolution graphics. So I hope you are able to see the difference between the two modes of embossing on this machine. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
