the focus of this video is that I want to "get my groove back" to a level that feels the same I had back then. I really fell off. so i'm going back to my roots and I feel like the best way to improve my aim again is not by cranking the kovaaks for 2 hours per day but by just playing afps games like the old, wise philosophers intended. What I'm using right now is Keyboard: Cherry Stream TKL keyboard White (I like scissor switches) Mouse: G203 Lightsync Mousepad: Qck Large Sens/DPI: 1.5 1000dpi (used to be so much higher but i want to get used to lower sens again) Headphones: HD6XX I used to be so invested into peripherals but all of these right now feels just right to use. I might get more products just to try out but that's gonna be in the far future when I have money. YAP DESCRIPTION I remember a time like 4 years ago when I was crazy about aiming. I'm talking playing aimlabs for 30 minutes before every cs game. ofc I was still shit but I was trying to get better. I then shifted from tactical shooters to arena shooters which I enjoy till this day. I then stopped really playing PvP games entirely and turned to more casual, friendslop games and it really started to decline my interest for getting better aim and something I felt I was really good at. Looking at people's "aiming" tips today I just see a bunch of 1. You NEED to invest into many mousepads 2. If you don't have a wireless mouse that is less than 40g you aren't gonna hit anything 3. palm grip sucks (i haven't seen anyone say this I thought this would be funny to say) 4. you also of course need to get a custom keyboard, invest into audiophile-grade headphones that cost quad digits, and need at least a 500hz monitor. 5. oh yeah, buy an arm sleeve. Even back then I felt like most of those tips was a bit outlandish but it seems to become a norm for "min-maxxing" your aim. I came from a time when people thought finalmouse during peak fortnite years was considered the pinnacle- (and the most overpriced products known to man but goddamn i wanted to get an air58 so fucking badly too bad it's resold for $500 now. people hated their marketing which looking back is so damn fair man they only strive off of scalpers and streamer collaborations. pure hypetrain peripheral brand.) -and you should get yourself an 3xl mousepad.what i figured out though is that you kinda don't need any of that at all especially for someone who has a medium sensitivity. What makes someone a better aimer isn't much of your peripherals at all. And I feel like I fell into a consumer trap of wanting to improve my skill through money when all this time for the past 8 years of my life playing FPS games was just me, my logitech egg shaped mice, and my qck. that is all I needed and I will continue using those. Unless ofc someone gives me a finalmouse for cheap BUT THE EGG SHALL BE USED ONWARD.
