In this music video, we re-imagined one of our favorite original songs: track 2 from our album, PSYCHOSOMATIK. The original song (and album) was conceived without the use of a DAW and mixed by hand. However, in the wake of our Rust Behind The Song videos (interview and demo), we felt the need to redo RUST closer to the original demo while incorporating all the new techniques and technologies we've learned along the way. This was the original dedication in the liner notes: "Believe it or not, every musician, no matter how much love is in their heart and in their music, faces naysayers, adversity, and most commonly—inherent to the trade—financial hardship. Our 2nd track on the album, "Rust," is about the musician’s search for meaning in the long, futile grind that it is to look for bandmates and write material and gig and pass auditions and practice musicianship. It’s homage to the literal blood, sweat, and tears of a musician’s journey, and the resolve that inevitably is steeled so much that it becomes, invariably, obstinate, difficult, obsessive—so steeled that it rusts." Next up? Hoping to do a Harry Styles video. Out by the end of the month (ceteris paribus).
