Milton collected $27,000 for his first national tour title, but flirted with the possibility of an added $50,000 offered by True Value for a perfect game rolled during the championship round. In the opening game Gary Skidmore topped Marshall Holman, 209-179. Genalo then outscored Skidmore, 203-187, and Joe Hutchinson, 256-176, to get a shot at his first PBA victory.
