Maryland Public Libraries presents Career Success Month, a series of workforce-related initiatives to highlight valuable resources hosted by libraries throughout Maryland. Career Success Month provides library customers with guidance from experts on a wide spectrum of business to job advancement topics, and helps them navigate everyday life while pursuing career goals. ​ This years theme, "Stronger Workforce, Stronger Maryland," is to build employment skills and advancement opportunities through strengthening our workforce, businesses, partnerships, and communities within our innovative and resilient state. Keynote Speaker: Crystal Trice, Instructor and Founder of Scissors & Glue, LLC With over 20 years of experience in education and local government, Crystal is passionate about helping people work together more effectively. In her previous work as a library project coordinator, she managed projects spanning multiple libraries, led cross-functional teams, and ensured continuity of library operations. She launched new websites as part of a two-woman web team, relying on usability testing and analytics. Crystal is a Certified Scrum Master and is also certified for Scrum at Scale in Government. She completed a Masters Degree in Library & Information Science, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. Her broad experience has fueled her dedication to community enrichment, and she is enthusiastic about supporting your organization’s goals. Crystal enjoys fine-tip Sharpies, multi-colored Flair pens, blue painters tape, and as many sticky notes as she can get her hands on.
