Swing Dance to “A Wink and a Smile” by Harry Connick Jr

A casual, improvised dance with Corrinne and MacGyver on their seaside balcony to Harry Connick, Jr’s “A Wink and a Smile”. Quite a few people have asked if we ever just dance around the house and the answer is: yes. Normally it’s for a short stint of half a song in the kitchen or when arriving home from work, but this day we decided to dress up and look a bit vintage and old timey. This was the first song we danced to on this particular day, hence the stretching and warm up. This dance isn’t choreographed or planned out, we just made it up as we went, what we were feeling. We’ve been dancing since 2010 and have been professional dancers pretty much that entire time, doing many different shows and gigs with lots of choreography… but (and this MacGyver speaking) I honestly enjoy these casual improvised dances so much more. They are free, goofy and easy. There are no expectations and you can apply everything that you’ve learned or none at all. It’s a litmus test on whether you truly enjoy dancing. Our answer is yes, we love to dance. We hope it’s obvious. We are lucky to dance in lockdown and or quarantine together.
