The game introduces a new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, an FBI analyst and the daughter of a journalist from the Resident Evil Outbreak series. Grace's personal mission takes her to the ruins of Raccoon City, 30 years after its destruction, where she investigates mysterious deaths at the hotel where her mother died years prior. This deeply personal story sets the stage for a tense and haunting experience. The gameplay focuses on a mix of exploration, stealth and resource management. Players can freely switch between first person and third person perspectives, with the first-person view offering a more intense experience.
