We hiked Laugavegur & Fimmvörðuháls in 4 days, but like always, in reverse. Starting from Skógar and finishing in Landmannalaugar. Laugavegur was a medium-easy as a hike, but the weather can make the experience more challenging. The route is well marked, there are many huts along the way and it's not strenuous, so it's a great option for someone who's looking for their first multi-day hike. If you want to add more challenge, you can extend the hike with the Fimmvörðuháls trail. This one is more challenging due to the length, elevation gain and harsh conditions. Since wild camping is not allowed anywhere along the trail we camped each night at the official campsites. We completed the hike in late July.
