Gala Pita Gala is a rock formation which is situated in the Kalupahana area. It is an unusual formation of three rocks which are stacked one on top of another. The rocks are well-balanced and have been like that for thousand years. It is also known as “Hellena Gala” or “Swinging Rock”. The scenic view surrounding Gala Pita Gala includes Haputale, Kalupahana area, Bambarakanda, Wangedigala, Gommoliya and Horton Plains. Getting to Gala Pita Gala From Belihuloya travel along the Colombo – Batticaloa Highway and the Kalupahana – Ohiya Road up to Haputale to reach the Galapita Yaya Estate.
