Take a look at what's going on inside a turkey egg on day 9 of incubation. Turkeys incubate for 28 days, just like most ducks. By day 9, this turkey embryo has: a beating heart eyes (very noticeable as the dark spot in the video!) the beginnings of wings and legs a teeny little pipping tooth that's just beginning to form There's still lots of room in the egg, so the embryo is extremely active, and reacts to the brightness of the candling light. You can see it move around strongly, "swimming" inside the egg. Amazing, isn't it? You can find an informative chart of day-by-day turkey embryo development at the link below.
