Tulsa's legendary singer/songwriter, Jack Dunham began writing songs for country star Conway Twitty in 1968. Among the more than twenty tunes he wrote is this one, "When The Final change Is Made." It was published by Conway's Twitty Bird Music and was on Conway's 1973 album You've Never Been This Far Before. It was also recorded by country singer Gary Buck and made it on a single opposite "R. R. #2" in 1972. Jerry Bradley was the producer, and singing background vocals was Nashville's own Jordanaires. Jerry’s father is Owen Bradley, who was one of the early architects of Nashville’s sound in the 50s and 60s, along with Chet Atkins. Owen also started the legendary studio Bradley’s Barn. Gary’s recording of the song “R. R. #2" was on his 1972 album Gary Buck Sings, but "When The Final Change Is Made" was not. It was on his Cold Wind On The Mountain album, released in Canada in 1972 on RCA/Camden. There are many more songs on this YouTube channel that were written or recorded by Jack over his 50 years-long career.
