Tejashwi Declares He's Bihar CM-In-Waiting After Nitish | The Hotspot ft. Tejashwi Yadav | Jist

Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tejashwi Yadav has gone on record to claim that the Nitish Kumar era in Bihar politics is coming to an end. In an hour-long interview on the Hotspot with Rahul Shrivastava, Tejashwi Yadav categorically claimed that he is going to be the next chief minister of Bihar after the Assembly elections are held in October-November. Tejashwi Yadav raised questions over Nitish Kumar's health and said the Chief Minister no longer wields control. The RJD leader alleged that a coterie of retired bureaucrats is running Bihar from behind the scenes on behalf of Nitish Kumar. When questioned about the RJD twice lending support to Nitish Kumar to continue as Chief Minister, Tejashwi said the RJD wanted to present an alternative to the BJP-led alliance. Tejashwi said the JD(U) was being crippled from within by leaders who had strong links with the BJP and RSS. He blamed the BJP-RSS sympathisers within the JD(U) for Nitish Kumar's repeated flip-flops between the Mahagathbandhan and the NDA. Tejashwi, who has been deputy CM twice, underlined that his politics will focus on creating a "New Bihar" where education, jobs, health and development will get precedence. He says he “wants to change the perception of Bihar”.
