Today let's take a look at an oldtimer of a reproduction sword done right--the Kingston Arms 13th Century Knightly Sword, sometimes called the type XIV sword. It is one of my oldest functional sword, purchased right after I started my collection of historical swords. It is renowned for being designed by Angus Trim, a reputed American swordmaker who is known for crafting and designing medieval sword reproductions optimized for handling and performance, especially targeting Historical European Martial Arts practitioners. This one is one of the few designs Angus Trim authorized Kingston Arms to execute as a production model. Does it manage to achieve the high expectation of the community from an Atrim design?
