Our journey started with three ferry crossings (and missing one by just 2 minutes meant a 5-hour wait!) before finally making it to the Island. At first, our impression of Vancouver Island was… honestly a little disappointing. But that all changed the moment we set up camp right on the ocean. On this trip, we: 🚙 Took three ferries (and got stranded waiting for one!) 🏕️ Camped by the Pacific Ocean with bears nearby 🌲 Explored rugged beaches and old logging equipment unique to BC ❤️ Spent quality time together as a couple 🌲 Found random backroad camping spots along the way What started as a frustrating adventure became one memorable overlanding trips we’ve ever had.
