Step-by-Step Guide to register CAN (Citizen Access Number) Phase 1: Portal Sign-Up (Citizen Login) Before you can register a CAN, you must have a user account on the e-Sevai portal. ▪️Visit the official TNeSevai Portal. ▪️Click on Citizen Login on the right side of the homepage. ▪️If you don't have an account, click New User? Sign Up here. ▪️Fill in your Full Name, District, Taluk, T-Mobile Number, and Email ID. ▪️Enter the OTP sent to your mobile and click Register. Phase 2: CAN Registration Process Once logged into your dashboard, follow these steps to generate your CAN: Step 1: Access the Registration Form ▪️From the dashboard, click on Revenue Department. ▪️Select any service (e.g., "REV-101 Community Certificate"). ▪️A set of instructions will appear; click Proceed. ▪️On the next page, you will see a search bar. Click the button labeled Register CAN. Step 2: Fill Personal Details ▪️Document Type: Select "Aadhaar" and enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number. ▪️Appellation: Choose Mr./Ms./Mrs. ▪️Name: Enter your name in English and then in Tamil (you can use an on-screen keyboard or phonetics). ▪️Gender, DOB, and Marital Status: Select from the dropdowns. ▪️Community & Occupation: Select your relevant category. Step 3: Enter Address & Contact Details ▪️Fill in your Father’s/Mother’s/Spouse’s name (in both English and Tamil). ▪️Current Address: Enter State, District, Taluk, Revenue Village, and Street Name/Door Number. ▪️Permanent Address: If it is the same as the current address, check the box "Permanent Address same as Current Address". ▪️Contact Info: Ensure your mobile number is correct as it will be linked permanently to this CAN. Step 4: OTP Verification & Submission ▪️Click the Generate OTP button. ▪️Enter the 6-digit code received on your mobile. ▪️Click Confirm OTP. ▪️Review all details and click Register. Step 5: Confirmation ▪️Upon successful registration, your 13-digit CAN Number will be displayed on the screen (e.g., 133XXXXXXXXXX). ▪️You will also receive an SMS with this number for future reference.
