This campaign was… cold. And not just thematically — it froze my patience solid. It takes place in some kind of arctic zone (I’m assuming snowy mountains based on the background), and while it tries to be creative, it’s weighed down by a whole pile of problems. Let’s start with the positives first. The custom models and textures are genuinely cool, and the snow/ice theme is consistent from start to finish. The blue color correction does give that cold, numb, arctic vibe, and the custom boss — the Kraken — is definitely unique. Unfortunately… that’s about where the positives end. Now let’s talk about the issues. The blue color correction might be thematic, but it’s also rough on the eyes. It blends with the white snow and the bright outdoor lighting, making some sections borderline painful to look at — Chapter 1 being the worst offender. The map also feels bland overall. It’s not completely empty, but it leans way too heavily on the custom arctic textures without adding enough detail to bring the world to life. But the real downfall of this campaign is the gameplay. Instructor hints are practically nonexistent. You’re basically thrown in and told, “Good luck figuring it out.” Nothing is straightforward, and half the progress depends on wandering around until you stumble onto the right solution. It took me two recordings just to understand what I was supposed to do in Chapter 1 because Rochelle picked up the chainsaw that had the instruction attached to it. The finale could have been great… but instead it’s a hot mess in a cold map. The Kraken boss is a cool idea, but the game doesn’t explain how to fight it at all — the explanation is buried in the Steam description, which most people (including me) won’t read beforehand. All you get in-game is “Get Ready To Fight The Kraken,” but nothing tells you, “Hey, just shoot it until it dies.” To make matters worse, the Kraken has an unavoidable attack where it hurls Tank rocks at you for 50 damage each. It only targets the human player too — I got hit twice, while the bots never took a single shot. So… do I like this map? Not really. Is it the worst thing on Steam? No — I’ve played much worse. But it still isn’t good enough for me to recommend. If you really want to try it, bring three human players for the boss fight, even though for some reason the Kraken’s HP scales up in multiplayer. Makes sense, right? For me, this is a one-and-done. Final Rating: D+ I don't know why, but the audio is bugging a bit in this video. I'm not sure if it's because the Steam video recorder messed up or the campaign did that. So, I do apologize that the audio matched with the quality of the actual campaign. Regardless, don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more. Link to campaign: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
