Known by many as the "Godfather" of modern day leakage management, Allan Lambert, has 60 years’ Water Management experience in 50 countries. In this special webinar, celebrating 5 years of Water Loss Webinars, arguably the world's leading authority on Water Loss Management will speak to Milene Aguiar about his career and answer questions on managing and reducing water loss. Allan started in the field of Hydrology/ Water Resources development and operation and then Flood Warning consultancies for World Meteorological Office. Since 1980 he has been increasingly involved in international Non-Revenue Water management. A Past President of the British Hydrological Society, he developed Component Analysis (Background and Bursts Estimates) when representing Welsh Water during the UK National Leakage Control Initiative (1992-94) and was then Special Advisor on Water Resources and Leakage Management to the House of Commons Environment Committee in the 1995-96 drought. He chaired the 1st IWA Water Loss Task Force (1995-99) which developed the IWA international Best Practice Water Balance and Performance Indicators published in 1999/2000. A Fellow of IWA and CIWEM, he has continued for a further 25 years to contribute numerous key concepts to the IWA Water Loss Specialist Group with particular emphasis on KPIs and pressure management, disseminated through multiple papers and presentations, the free to all LEAKSSuite Library websites and Water Loss Research and Analysis Ltd software and training materials.
