Our Recommended Bariatric Exercise Program: Low-Intensity Aerobic Exercise: 180 mins/week. What: Zone 2 cardio – think fast walking, light running, biking, where you can talk but not in full sentences. High-Intensity Aerobic Exercise: 1x/week. What: Interval training (alternating all-out effort with rest). Benefit: Boosts your VO2 Max, improving fitness and directly correlated with increased longevity. Resistance Training: 3x/week. What: With weights, resistance bands, or bodyweight. Benefit: Paramount for weight loss, increasing fat-free mass, bone density, and overall strength!
