You may have seen online that some players seem to be loving the game and having the time of their life but others are upset and feeling ultimately disrespected, and with good reasons which I'll cover in this video. In april 2025 this game appeared from seemingly nowhere already playable and quite polished, with a kickstarter campaign to fund the addition of a few extra features, mostly a customizable water theme park. It looked really promising, and the alpha version I've played seriously felt like it was ready for an early access release. But despite earning over 300 hundred THOUSAND dollars from their loyal backers, when the campaign was over they quickly pushed back on their planned release date from winter 2025 to February 2026. Not only that but the game wasn't going to fully release anymore, instead it was going to be an Early Access release. Then the first complaints started arising, when they revealed the dateable characters. The lack of diversity is blatant. And despite us backers complaining about this since the alpha tests, nothing was changed. Actually they even seem to have lighten up the skin of the only slightly tan character in the roster. Not only that despite promising a 50/50 balance, they revealed way more female romanceable characters than male ones, and that is considering that half of the guys LOOK THE SAME... Then to make matters worse, over the past couple months they suddenly changed the entire appeareance of their characters Zerine. Although some people complained nothing really changed. 1. Fake Reviews 2. Anti-cheat spyware 3. Massive steam deck & console issues. 4. Then the dissatisfaction with the male characters 5. Related to this issue, there is also the suspicion that generative AI has potentially been used. 6. The unfair treatment of the backers. People who didn't back the game doesn't seem to care though. Backers are feeling unfairly treated and also understandbly anxious because although the game is here and you know, some people can play it, this constant poor communication and lack of priorities creates a worrying precedent for the game. People are concerned if this is just a new, indie developer hiccup or if this is actually setting the tone to how they interact with the community and the feedback that they receive. Should you buy? 1. Game is currently in Early Access, it is not a finished game. This means bugs are expected and we do not know when they planning to final release. 2. Second, do not trust the steam reviews. They have multiple fake bots writing non sensical stuff that I have covered earlier in this video. 3. Third, They will require you to install an anti-cheat spyware despite being a single player game. This could be a pre preparing for future multiplayer, but also could not. Please do your own research. 4. Fourth, steam deck and console players are reporting more game breaking issues and bugs so please keep that in mind. My recommendation is go to the official reddit and discord and check what's being said first. 5. Lastly, if you care about the game story and characters, there is a clear lack of diversity on the characters specially the romanceable men. For the backers, the initial instruction was to contact them through kickstarter. However they changed it, so now you have to fill in a google form, even if you already contacted them through kickstarter.
