The camera should capture you in the best light, with proper headroom and a balanced shot. If your head’s cut off or you’re not centered, it distracts from your performance. Don’t be afraid to experiment with angles until you get it just right. 🎧 High-Quality Audio & Video It sounds simple, but many actors forget this key element. Poor sound or grainy video can make it hard for casting directors to even hear or see your performance properly. Make sure your video is clear, your sound is crisp, and there’s no background noise distracting from your delivery. 👋 Slate That Sells You The slate is your first impression, and it matters. A lot. Don’t just rattle off your name and resume. Be personable, show a little personality, and give them a glimpse of who you are outside of the lines.
