Lessons learned: In Micah’s time, wine and strong drinks represented prosperity. Therefore, the people of Judah had no regard for the warnings of Micah. They preferred the false teaching of the other prophets. In other words, they would rather hear lies instead of the truth. Likewise, we would rather hear about the additional money we will receive, or the expensive car God will give us, rather than what He requires of us as Kingdom workers. Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we seek to learn more and grow deeper in our service to others. Lord, let us be receptive to people caring for us when we are in need, so that we, in turn, can care for others. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
