Building an XT-IDE card

In this video I assemble, configure, and test an XT-IDE card. The XT-IDE is an 8-bit ISA card that allows IDE storage to be added to older ISA machines, such as my IBM 5150. I am using a cheap CF card to IDE adapter in order to use a CF card as a solid state storage device. There are many versions of the XT-IDE card available, both pre-assembled and in kit form. I purchased this version as a kit from a seller on eBay. This is a great option for adding fast, reliable, and modern storage to an old ISA machine and a fun, easy soldering project.
