A rare Grasstrack appearance for Robbie Fuller, but he looked a class act around this boarded circuit at High Halden. Some stiff opposition lay in store for him though in the form of Duncan Tolhurst, Chris Underhill, and local stars Chris Tritton and Steve Wilson. The 350cc class also had a big clash, with local favourite Keith Potts coming up against Martin Jacobs, Dave Mears, and Jonathan Duke. Jamie Pantry, Dean Camier, and brothers Mark & Terry Giles had some great clashes in the 250cc class. In the LH Sidecars Luke Pachol/Julian Browning started the meeting as possible favourites, but with John Fish/Gary Moore, Bill Penfold/Nigel Shaw, and Tom Penfold/Julian Wood all sanpping at their back wheel, the final was wide open. It was an all S/E affair in the RH Sidecars, with Rob Wilson/Tony Miles at the top of the tree, but there were many dangers lurking just behind them, with Nevill Penfold, Jerry Adams, Kevin Simmons, and the fast starting Tim Bennett all in with a shout of the win.
