Parenthood Perspectives: Anxiety Before Birth | Midwives S1 E2

In this episode of Midwives, we are looking into anxiety in pregnancy, either first time mums or older mums. We look into a mum who had complications in her first pregnancy which is making her more anxious about her second birth. In this six part observational documentary series, we witness the daily work that is done in the wards of The National Maternity Hospital, where a team of midwives work day and night to give mums to be the support they need during their pregnancy, right through to those first special days with their new babies. The series also follows a number of women in the final stages of their pregnancy journeys, all of whom are very different but are all on the same special journey of meeting their new baby. As we join the midwives in supporting these women through their journeys, we learn that no matter how many babies they hold in their arms, the special feeling of delivering a new life into the world never fades.
