As you can see the slab is installed on a hardcore base with vinings, which is level and consistent around the whole slab. Underneath the slab is a continuous radon bar and passes outside the ICF resting on the floor level before the ICF passes up as the exterior wall. You can see here the edge is deeper to allow for the structure of the insulated concrete formwork, it steps to the inside and there are varying ranges of UPS insulation and in this instance there are no load bearing walls, but sometimes you can have more dense insulation for taking the load bearing walls. Here we also have the entire heating system for the building installed so effectively there is one concrete floor to take it to floor level, and a second pour to first floor level. It is a super form of construction to replace standard strip foundations, very quick and easy. What is missing is the top layer of mesh which will go over the heating pipes and once this is installed it will be ready to pour in one hit.
