This video has a full walk-around and setup of our 1929 Zagelmeyer trailer. The weather is finally good enough in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas for us to take the trailer and Model T out for a 4-day camp trip. This is our first real camp trip with the trailer and our first test of pulling it with the Model T for a long distance. We pulled it about 50 to 60 total miles this time and it did really good. It normally takes us about 15 minutes to fully set up the trailer. It took a little longer this time due to filming, but it still is faster than setting up our tents. We took it to a local Corp of Engineers Lake near us. It is similar to camping in a State Park or National Park. Back in the 1920s and 30s era the camping was very similar to today's parks. Most cities had Motor Camps for Auto Tourists to camp at as well as the State Parks and National Parks. About the only real difference at our camp site today and back in the day was the blacktop pad to set up on. They even had electric at lots of the places as early as 1920 in a lot of the Motor Camps. We had electric, but did not have a water spigot at this site. Most Motor Camps back in the day usually had a central water spigot for everyone to get potable water from. This park also had a central water spigot for us to get potable water. So, this trip was very close to replicating a 1920s-30s era Motor Camp trip.
