Due to its location in the Bukhansan Mountain Scenic Conservation Area, it is set to be developed into low-rise townhouses (3–4 stories) instead of high-rise apartment complexes. This village holds a special place in my heart. In the 1980s, my uncle lived here, and as a child, I often visited this nostalgic neighborhood with my mother. When I first filmed here in 2021, the area was still inhabited by many residents. However, most of the houses are now empty, and the village is on the verge of demolition. During filming, I spoke with someone from Banseok Prayer House, who mentioned that the relocation process would likely be completed between April and June this year. Jeongneunggol will soon transform into a new neighborhood, but I hope its stories and memories will be cherished for a long time. May this video serve as a meaningful record, evoking warm memories for those who have a special connection to Jeongneunggol.
