About the speaker Mark Urban is a British journalist and broadcaster, with expertise in defence and foreign affairs. He served as Diplomatic Editor and presenter for BBC Two's Newsnight, where he covered global conflict zones extensively. Throughout his career, Urban has reported from some of the world's most volatile regions, including the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe.
