Camping at Jeju Island (Mt Hallasan) Part 2

Hello Welcome to part 2 of our Jeju Island Camping. Today we have come to Jeju Island highest mountain. Hallasan (Korean: 한라산) is a shield volcano on Jeju Island in South Korea. Its summit, at 1,947 m (6,388 ft), is the highest point in the country. The area around the mountain is a designated national park, named Hallasan National Park. Hallasan is commonly considered to be one of the three main mountains of South Korea, along with Jirisan and Seoraksan. Today we decided to settle down here. This place is calm and peaceful. Light wind whispering into your ears. It’s very comforting to hear birds chipping and sees deers roaming freely nearby. There’s a house rules here. You are not allow to consume alcohol and have open fire here. We’ve experienced sand storms at the beach. This is consider far well as compared. Something we didnt notice as we were staying at the foot of the mountain. The temperature goes extreme low to 1 degree celcius after dinner around 10pm. I tucked myself in the sleeping bag with all zippers in the tent. I didnt sleep well tossing myself because of the freezing cold ground. My air mattress not doing a good job. I got up to the toilet nearby at 4:30am when the temple bell sound off. I boiled water for coffee and cook hard boiled eggs as breakfast. We set off to hike the mountain after online registration. We didn’t complete to the summit as we have not got any food prepared. But it was really enjoyable along the way into the woods. We filled ourselves with full lots of laughter during this trip.
