The Masvingo branch line has very light rail about 20kgm. This means a huge locomotive like a GT22 is heavy for those rails and it can only travel at very slow speeds to avoid coming off the tracks. Hopefully next time I will be able to catch it on the actual branch line. --------------------------------------------------- Uses of Chrome The chromium extracted from chromite is used in chrome plating and alloying for production of corrosion resistant superalloys, nichrome, and stainless steel. Chromium is used as a pigment for glass, glazes, and paint, and as an oxidizing agent for tanning leather.
