It is a flat Indian bread. It is prepared form bajri or bajra or Pearl Millet. This is authentic and traditional Maharashtrian recipe. Bajri is a good source of energy, helps in digestion. It is also said to be anti-diabetic. This is specially made during winter as bajri gives required heat to body. I will share lot many tips and tricks during the recipe. I will tell you what all can go wrong and what should you avoid to make perfect bhakri. This bhakri turns out nice and soft and it puffs up really good. You can try this recipe at home and write to me. You also can like, share and subscribe. Ingredients: • Bajra flour • Salt to taste • Water as needed • White Sesame seeds Method: • Mix bajra flour and salt well together and add a little water at a time to knead soft dough. • Make sure you use fresh bajra flour. • If you have bajra flour stored for many days, then while making bhakri add rice flour and use hot water to knead the dough. • Knead the dough with the base of your palm for at least a minute. • Take a portion from the dough and make it smooth and even. • Pat it into small disc in your palm. • Dust dry flour and place disc on it. • Pat it into thin bhakri. • Pat with your palm and make it even with the fingers. • Sprinkle sesame seeds and pat it a little again. • Heat up a skillet on high heat and transfer the bhakri on it. • Spread water on the bhakri and flip the bhakri over. • Roast the bhakri really good from lower and flip the bhakri over. • When the bhakri is roasted well from all sides, take it off on a wire rack. Bajrichi bhakri is ready. • You can roll the bhakri with the help of rolling in also.
