Little Yael needs to be immediately subjected to treatments and she needs our help! Yael is a 13-year-old girl, who has been experiencing severe developmental and neurological problems since infancy. When the little girl was 6 months old, her parents noticed that their little girl was hardly moving her extremities. They consulted with their pediatrician, who recommended that she would be subjected to physiotherapy. Months went by, and the parents were eagerly waiting to hear their little one’s first words. Since their daughter was still unable to speak, they consulted with their pediatrician once more. He recommended that she would be subjected to speech therapy and that the family should consult with a developmental doctor. The little girl was then diagnosed with ADHD, pervasive developmental disorder and autism spectrum disorder. Today, Yael is still having a hard time forming sentences, while she is exhibiting learning disorders and poor social skills. She is also suffering from epileptic seizures and panic attacks. According to the developmental doctor who monitors her condition, the cause of her disorders could be genetic. However, in order to determine that, the girl should be subjected to whole-genome sequencing. The Organization has recently come in contact with a developmental center in Europe, which specializes in severe cases of developmental disorders. According to the medical staff, the young girl should be transferred to the center as soon as possible, in order to be subjected to a series of specialized treatments, whose goal is to improve her overall functioning skills. All these years, Yael’s parents have been doing everything in their power, in order to provide their little girl with everything she needs. Today however, they have reached a dead end and they are unable to cope with the cost of the tests and the treatments their little girl needs to be subjected to.
