Join me for a solo wild camping trip in the mountains of Europe, hiking the Ronda Mountains trail to Pietrosul Rodnei, one of the best hiking trails in the world. ► ABOUT THIS HIKE: I went on a solo hike through the Rodnei Mountains in Romania, looking to disconnect and enjoy the landscape. Starting in Borșa, I made my way to the Meteo Station Iezer, then hiked up to Iezer Lake—a quiet spot to rest and take in the views. From there, I continued to Rodna Peak (Vârful Pietrosul Rodnei), the highest point in the range. I set up camp just below the peak, and the view made the climb worth it. I also explored nearby peaks, each with its own unique scenery. Hiking through Rodnei Mountains National Park was a great experience, with plenty of wildlife and diverse plant life along the way.
