King's Chastiefol Cardboard DIY - Seven Deadly Sins - Crafty Transformer

“In this modern day, where mankind are ever more distant from the non-living, Cardboard is where the craftsmanship lyes” - Hello to you all, from the Chief Commander of the Cardboard Knights. (Yes, I am the one and only member of this order of chivalry.) Today I’ll make the “Spirit Spear Chastiefol” out of cardboard, the sacred weapon of the King - Grizzly's Sin of Sloth’s from the anime ‘Seven Deadly Sins’. Since I can’t offer any magical powers, I’ll make the Chastiefol levitate using a sneaky trick with string. To do so, I got the idea of a trick in magic called “Flow Wand” and applied its mechanism. If the practice run goes well, would I actually be able to control it like the “Bumble Bee”?? There are no gimmicks to this, so putting it together is very easy. Perhaps a great idea for a cosplay? We’ll be using some cardboard, a paper tube, and an ice cream stick. For string, I went with clear thread for the sewing machine. You can pick the colour of the thread according to the background. If you have a lighter background, I recommend clear or white thread, and a black or a darker colour for a dark background. (You can buy special string for magic tricks, but you can avoid the high cost with regular sewing thread) In this video I made a ring with the streing, threaded through the paper tube. I’d say keep the ring at the lengths of open arms. A tip for creating this piece today, is to “keep it light”. If it’s too heavy, it could cause the string to snap, or hurt your hand. I also recommend using gloves when you do the levitating act. With bare hands, the string tends to push your skin in and reveal your trick, or cut your hand. For a cosplay, it might be a good idea to wrap your hand with stockings of your skin colour. Make sure to get used to maneuvering it before you go!
