KING BAUDOUIN AND QUEEN FABIOLA VISIT DENMARK - NO SOUND

(11 Feb 1966) Right in the middle of the most severe winter experienced in Scandinavia for almost one hundred years, KING BAUDOUIN and QUEEN FABIOLA of Belgium, paid a state visit to Denmark. The couple took the special train to Copenhagen and arrived at the Copenhagen Central Station. They were welcomed by KING FREDERIK and QUEEN INGRID together with the two Danish Princess's and other members of the Royal Family. They drove through the streets of Copenhagen in "The Golden Carriage". The two Queens followed in another carriage. They arrived at the Amalienborg where the Royal guests had a place of their own for their residence. In the afternoon the two Kings paid a traditional visit to the memorial park at Ryvangen and King Baudouin placed a wreath at the memorial of the Danish war heroes. The Royal families also visited the Copenhagen Town Hall where they were received by the LORD MAYOR. (Of Copenhagen) Early Friday morning, King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola, at Copenhagen Airport took a hasty Farewell with King Frederik and Queen Ingrid and went back to Belgium one day ahead of schedule.
