The Winx Guineas, registered as the Sunshine Coast Guineas is a Sunshine Coast Turf Club Group 3 Thoroughbred horse race for 3yo's, under set weights conditions, over a distance of 1600 metres at Corbould Park Racecourse, Caloundra, Queensland, Australiawith a total prize of A$200,000. In 2015 the great Champion Mare Winx trained by Chris Waller won the Sunshine Coast Guineas, a 3yo Filly at the time with Larry Cassidy onboard the $2.60 favourite made the turn into the straight last of the 18 horse field, she would fly past the lot of them to win commandingly by a near 2 lengths. Not only did she win this race, she would go onto to win every race she ever competed in including 25 Group 1's. Four years later in 2019 this race the 'Sunshine Coast Guineas' would be renamed the 'Winx Guineas' in her honour.
