Caring for creation within Christian camping A Biblical and practical approach A Rocha International - https://www.arocha.org/en/ Contact Anna - [email protected] In this session we will explore what the Bible says about why Christians should be concerned about environmental issues, and consider the level of priority we ought to place upon creation care in the light of Jesus’ commands, particularly the Great Commission, and our mission as CCI members. We will also look at how we can encourage and spur one another on in our care of God’s world within Christian camping, and introduce the concept of EcoCamp –a tool which may be able to help us. Dr Anna Whitehouse Anna has been interested in wildlife and environmental conservation since childhood, and has a PhD in elephant conservation biology. She has an Explore Certificate in Theology from George Whitfield College, Cape Town, and loves teaching and sharing her passion for Jesus, His Word, and the amazing world He created. Anna is married to Chris, a botanist, and together they run Phillipskop Mountain Reserve, a nature reserve and Christian retreat centre (2½ hours outside Cape Town in South Africa), and homeschool their 3 boys (Joshua 15, Boaz 12 and Zachary 10).
