My first DEAD KENNEDYS experience! Bass Teacher REACTS to "Holiday In Cambodia"

Many of you urged me to explore the bass playing of Klaus Flouride, and "Holiday In Cambodia" was a terrific place to start. I love when a song's backbone is founded upon a great bass intro, and the dissonance in the note choices really set the stage for the song's vibe and wholly contributed to the song's deeper subject matter. While the vocals will take awhile to grow on me, the chorus really grabbed me and portrayed a more "positive" sound which contrasted the uneasy feel within the verses. I could viscerally hear the song's message also being channeled through the music, which is an amazing feat when a band can showcase that blend so masterfully.
