Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam describes Her as: – The wish-fulfilling creeper for all who seek refuge – A vast ocean of compassion – The destroyer of the impurities of the Kali age Her lotus feet are worshipped even by gods like Indra, and She bestows the eightfold yogic powers (aṣṭa-siddhis). Her divine greatness transcends intellectual speculation, and Her very name dispels the darkness of ignorance. Residing in the sacred town of Sringeri, Her feet are served by none other than Adi Shankaracharya, who established Her worship there. She is the bestower of eloquence and wisdom, and dwells in the heart-lotus of Sri Bharati Tirtha, the revered 36th Acharya of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham.
