"Foot Massage Seats ! " Air New Zealand's Business Class has garnered a reputation for its lack of privacy and limited storage, often compared to sitting in a foot massage chair. I can confirm that these criticisms are common. However, after experiencing it myself, I felt that when the seat reclines into a flat bed and is topped with a thick mattress, the comfort surpasses that of other airlines' business classes, like Cathay Pacific or Singapore Airlines. Once I settled in, I found ample headspace and the freedom to position my legs comfortably without any barriers. This allowed me to enjoy more than five hours of restful sleep, which is quite rare on flights. The service offered by Air New Zealand was exceptional. The flight attendants were genuinely warm and friendly, treating us like family or friends rather than just passengers. While the menu didn’t feature extravagant, the quality was impressive, with each meal feeling like a restaurant experience in terms of ingredients, flavors, and presentation. The service was efficient as well; from the starter to dessert, it took about an hour, allowing passengers to relax without the annoyance of long waits between courses. In summary, despite with seat design unreasonable, Air New Zealand's Business Class is a worthwhile experience, especially considering its status as one of the safest airlines globally. They are in the process of updating their seats, so it's a great time to book a flight and create some fond memories in what some might call the aerial foot massage chair.
