Our e-learning provides basic knowledge of human performance (Human Factors). This training is designed for healthcare, rescue and nursing personnel with no prior Human Factors experience. The objective of this e-learning is to: Develop situational awareness of risks or pressures, Apply tools for dealing with stress and pressure during high workloads, to have methods at hand for making the right decisions, to know the importance of teamwork, communication and good leadership and their basic rules. The e-learning starts with a general introduction and proceeds with the history of human factors. This is followed by basics on error models and theories. The following focus is on human performance. In this context, the training also covers the topics of sensory perception and information processing, situational awareness. Last but not least, there are separate chapters on workload and the challenges of working conditions and the work environment. In a second part, the focus is on people in groups and in interaction with others. The topics of the related chapters are communication and teamwork as well as leadership, decision making and conflict management. Further emphasis is placed on social environment and stress management. The 3rd part of the training is concentrating on hazards in the workplace. Here it is all about error recognition and avoidance as well as the procedure for error handling and corrective actions. The training ends with a final test of 20 questions, 75% of which must be answered correctly in 25 minutes. The certificate is automatically sent by e-mail after successful completion.
