Igniting the Digital Surgery Ecosystem in Ireland at the UCD-IBM Research Annual Colloquium Part 1

Session 1 – “The Digital Surgeon” UCD and IBM Research in Ireland hosted its annual research colloquium with a focus on the emerging research and clinical and commercialisation opportunities in digital surgery in Ireland. Session 1 focused on emerging surgical technologies and showcasing the world class digital surgery research being undertaken at the university with industry partners. After opening remarks from UCD Vice-President for Research, Innovation and Impact Prof Orla Feely, Director of IBM Research Ireland Dr Ruoyi Zhou, and an Tánaiste Leo Varadkar, TD, the agenda was as follows.
