In this video, I want to show you how to make authentic Costa Rican corn tortillas — soft, warm, and full of flavor. From mixing the masa to cooking them on the pan, I’ll show you all the tips to get that perfect texture and homemade taste that goes with everything, from Gallo Pinto to cheese and soups. I grew up eating and making tortillas, so this is a natural process for me. I’ve heard from beginners that making tortillas can be intimidating — it’s one of those things you have to feel with your hands to know when the masa is just right. And if you don’t have someone next to you showing you how it’s supposed to feel, it can seem a little overwhelming. My advice is: relax! It’s just corn flour. If you mess up the first one, simply add a little more water or a little more flour until you get it right. It’s an easy fix, and there’s no reason to stress about it.
