Die ausgedehnte Anlage der Burgruine Gomarn welche erstmals 1278 urkundlich erwähnt wurde liegt auf dem Rücken eines Hügels bei Bad St. Leonhard im Lavanttal und war einst Sitz bambergischer Verwalter. 1762 wurde die Burg ein Raub der Flammen und brannte nach rascher Wiederinstandsetzung im Jahre 1808 erneut nieder. English: The extensive Gomarn Castle ruins, first documented in 1278, are located on the ridge of a hill near Bad St. Leonhard in the Lavanttal valley and were once the seat of Bamberg's administrators. In 1762, the castle was destroyed by fire and, after rapid reconstruction, burned down again in 1808.
